A Police Constable from the Operations Support Division (OSD), Michael M. Sesay, along with five other individuals, has been arrested by the Sierra Leone Police (SLP) in connection with an alleged armed robbery at the SS Fuel Station in Makeni.
According to Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) Alieu Jalloh, Head of the Criminal Investigations Department (CID), the suspects identified as Michael Roger, alias Giant; Mohamed Bangura, alias Big Change; Alhaji Kamara; Ahmed J. Sesay, alias Dragon; Musa Kamara, alias D Game; and Abdul S. Kamara stormed the fuel station armed with an AK-47 rifle and other dangerous implements. During the attack, they allegedly killed a fuel station attendant and stole an undisclosed sum of money.
ACP Jalloh provided these details during the SLP’s weekly press briefing held at the Police Officers Mess in Kingtom, Freetown, on Thursday, February 5, 2026. He said the suspects fired three gunshots at the scene, prompting an immediate response from the police’s anti-robbery unit.
Further investigations revealed that the firearm assigned to PC Sesay matched empty shells recovered at the crime scene. Checks on the weapon’s ammunition showed that while it was supposed to contain 30 rounds, only 28 were accounted for during the investigation.
ACP Jalloh assured the public that investigations are ongoing, and efforts continue to identify and apprehend any other accomplices involved in the incident.
