Ports Authority Return to Winning Ways with 2-0 Win Over FC Kallon

Ports Authority secured a convincing 2-0 victory over FC Kallon on Sunday, 31st May 2026, in their Leone Rock Premier League Matchweek 29 fixture at the Approved School Field.

The encounter began cautiously, with both sides assessing each other in the early stages in search of an opening goal. Ports Authority created several promising chances, but FC Kallon’s defence held firm. At the other end, the Cavaliers also posed a threat, but Ports Authority goalkeeper Steven N. Momoh produced a brilliant save to deny a clear scoring opportunity, while another FC Kallon attempt struck the woodwork. The first half ended goalless.

After the restart, the game increased in intensity as both teams pushed forward in search of a breakthrough. Ports Authority winger Papaye Gumba Mansaray was a constant menace to the FC Kallon defence, using his pace and creativity to stretch the backline. FC Kallon forward Yamoussa Camara also tested the hosts but was repeatedly denied by the outstanding Momoh.

The deadlock was finally broken in the 68th minute when Mansaray delivered a precise assist for Abass Conteh, who calmly finished to give Ports Authority a deserved lead.

Ports Authority doubled their advantage in the 77th minute through Amadu Mansaray. The move was initiated by goalkeeper Steven N. Momoh, who provided a pinpoint assist his second of the season after a similar contribution against Wusum Stars helping the Waterfront Boys seal the result.

The victory served as revenge for Ports Authority, who had suffered a 3-0 defeat to FC Kallon in the reverse fixture earlier in the season at the same venue.

FC Kallon’s struggles continue, with the defeat extending their winless run to seven league matches since their 2-1 victory over Bullom Stars in March. The run includes five consecutive defeats, a draw against Star Sport Academy, and the latest loss to Ports Authority.

Ports Authority, meanwhile, bounced back strongly from their 2-0 defeat to Bo Rangers in their previous outing. The win moves them up to 5th place on the league table, while FC Kallon remain in 9th position.

In Matchweek 30, Ports Authority will travel to face Bai Bureh Warriors, while FC Kallon will host Luawa FC at the Approved School Field.
