President Dr. Julius Maada Bio addressed the Third Session of the Sixth Parliament on Thursday, August 7th, 2025, outlining a vision for national transformation.

In his annual presidential address, delivered at Tower Hill, President Bio emphasized transparency and accountability as foundational principles of his administration, presenting a governance report that underscored these commitments.

Central to his address were the "Big Five Game Changers," a set of flagship priorities designed to reshape Sierra Leone's socio-economic landscape.

These initiatives include "Feed Salone," focusing on food security and agricultural resilience; Human Capital Development, centered on education, healthcare, and gender equality; the Youth Employment Scheme, addressing job creation and empowerment; Technology and Infrastructure Development, aimed at advancing digital transformation and connectivity; and Public Service Reform, dedicated to ensuring accountable and efficient governance.

President Bio articulated these pillars not merely as policy programs, but as the nation's roadmap to stability, inclusion, and prosperity.

He acknowledged the resilience of citizens who navigated recent political and economic turbulence, choosing unity over division.

Furthermore, he commended the legislative body for its efforts in economic stabilization, petroleum sector reform, strengthening security, and significant strides in education, youth development, and women’s empowerment.

The speech is expected to be a key point of discussion and analysis among members of parliament in the coming days.
