Pujehun: APC Former and New Executives Hold Peace Talks

Former executives of the All People’s Congress (APC) in Pujehun District convened peace talks with the newly elected executive leadership on Friday, October 9, 2026. The meeting formed part of ongoing post-election reconciliation and peace-building initiatives aimed at fostering party unity, promoting inclusion, and strengthening internal cooperation ahead of the 2028 General Elections.
Delivering the keynote address, former Chairman Mohamed Amadu Sesay, popularly known as "Dr. Woo," stressed the necessity of solidarity and reconciliation among members. He noted that the party's core strength relies on its capacity to unite following internal elections.
"We must place the interests of the APC above personal ambitions and work collaboratively toward our broader objective: 'Agenda 2028: Our Project,'" Dr. Woo stated, urging comrades to look past internal electoral differences.
In response, Chairman-elect Sylvester Brima Massaquoi welcomed the initiative and expressed appreciation for the experience brought by the outgoing leadership. He highlighted the importance of drawing on past guidance to construct a resilient, inclusive, and development-oriented organizational structure.
Massaquoi called on all party members to embrace mutual respect, peace, and shared responsibility, describing these values as essential pillars for party expansion and future victory at the polls.
The engagement is widely viewed as a major milestone in consolidating internal stability, resolving local divisions, and presenting a unified front in Pujehun District.
Concluding the meeting, both incoming and outgoing leaders reaffirmed their commitment to ongoing dialogue, grassroots mobilization, and collective party advancement. They emphasized that with internal elections concluded, the focus must shift entirely toward unity and the realization of Agenda 2028.
