RCBank MD Walton Gilpin Receives National Recognition at Public Service Day 2026

The Managing Director of Rokel Commercial Bank (RCBank), Dr. Walton Dayo Gilpin, has been honoured for outstanding leadership, integrity, and contribution to improving public service delivery in Sierra Leone.

The recognition was made during the World Public Service Day 2026 ceremony held on 23 June 2026 at the Miatta Conference Centre in Freetown, where public servants and institutional leaders were celebrated for excellence and dedication.

The award was presented by Chief Minister Dr. David Moinina Sengeh on behalf of President Dr. Julius Maada Bio, in recognition of Dr. Gilpin’s role in strengthening institutional performance and promoting professionalism within the financial sector.

Dr. Gilpin was recognised alongside other public service figures for enhancing efficiency, accountability, and service delivery at RCBank and within the wider public sector.

He described the honour as a responsibility to do more, stating that leadership demands higher accountability and commitment to service. He dedicated the award to his colleagues at RCBank, customers, regulators, family, and supporters.

The recognition forms part of national efforts to promote excellence in public service delivery and strengthen leadership across key institutions, while RCBank described the award as a reflection of its commitment to professionalism and growth.
