A significant high-level dialogue meeting was convened on December 1, 2025, at the residence of His Lordship the Mayor of Kenema City, to facilitate reconciliation following a contentious chieftaincy election in Wandor Chiefdom.


Chaired by Mayor Thomas Bandabla Baio, the meeting successfully brought together key stakeholders and aspirants to address lingering tensions and cultivate cooperation. This crucial initiative was spearheaded by Inspector Prince Bernard Jaygboi Kamara, Officer in Command of Baama Konta, with support from Alhaji Usman Barrie and Mayor Baio. The notable turnout underscored a collective commitment to a peaceful resolution.




Key outcomes included an open platform for honest discussion, leading to the clarification of misunderstandings and the airing of grievances. Parties extended apologies and agreed to collaborate on future community development projects. Most importantly, all stakeholders underscored a collective commitment to maintaining peace and stability.


Mayor Baio, in his closing remarks, commended the stakeholders for their constructive engagement, specifically recognizing PC Larry SB Fangawa and Chief Juana Fangawa for their humility and swift acceptance of peace. He emphasized that unity and cooperation are paramount for the chiefdom's true development. The successful dialogue stands as a testament to collaborative leadership and the power of open communication in fostering a harmonious community.
