Regional Police Engage APC Leadership Ahead of Saturday’s Elections

Ahead of the All People’s Congress (APC) constituency lower-level elections scheduled for Saturday, 25 July 2026, Regional Police Commander East, ACP Joe Kamanda Bongay, convened a strategic security meeting in Kenema.
The session, held at the Regional Police Headquarters, brought together the APC District Chairman, constituency representatives, and youth leaders to deliberate on the security landscape and collective efforts needed to ensure a peaceful electoral environment.
Addressing the delegation, ACP Bongay emphasized that the engagement was designed to foster a collaborative approach, ensuring the upcoming elections are free, fair, and credible.
He assured the APC leadership that the Regional Command has implemented comprehensive security measures to guarantee safety before, during, and after the voting process. Furthermore, ACP Bongay reaffirmed the Sierra Leone Police’s dedication to professionalism, impartiality, and the protection of lives and property.
The APC District Chairman expressed appreciation for the proactive initiative, reaffirming the party's commitment to partnering with the police to promote law and order.
The meeting concluded with both parties pledging continued collaboration to preserve peace and uphold the integrity of the electoral process.
