Fast-rising Sierra Leonean singer-songwriter Boii has earned major recognition after receiving two nominations at the 2026 National Music Awards organized by the Sierra Leone DJs Union.

The nominations, recently announced by the DJs’ union, place the talented artiste among the top contenders in two prestigious categories: Artist of the Year (Female) and Album/EP of the Year for her project Money or Honey. The recognition highlights Boii’s growing influence and impressive musical impact within Sierra Leone’s entertainment industry over the past year.

Established in 2022 by the Sierra Leone DJs Union, the National Music Awards celebrate excellence, consistency, and outstanding contributions to the country’s music scene. Since its inception, the annual event has become a key platform for honoring artists who continue to shape and elevate the industry.

Boii, whose real name is Boimanya Martha Fahnbulleh Koroma, is signed to Cribs International and is widely recognized for her distinctive sound a fusion of Afrobeats, R&B, and dance influences. She often describes her musical style as “Afro plus everything nice,” a blend that has helped her steadily build a strong fan base.

According to the organizers, winners at the 2026 awards will be determined entirely through 100 percent public voting, making fan support a decisive factor in who takes home the honors on the night of the ceremony.

With two major nominations already secured, Boii’s presence at this year’s awards signals her continued rise as one of Sierra Leone’s promising voices in contemporary music.
