Serious Injury Forces Koroma Contract Termination at Torrellano

Athletic Club Torrellano has announced the mutual termination of Alusine Koroma’s contract following a serious knee injury sustained by the Sierra Leonean international during a recent training session. The midfielder, a key figure for the Leone Stars and a seasoned veteran of the Spanish football system, had only just joined the Valencian club in late January 2026.

The injury, described as significant knee trauma, necessitates a recovery timeline that rules the 25-year-old out for the remainder of the 2025/26 season. While the playing contract was terminated to free a registration spot, Athletic Club Torrellano has publicly committed to supporting Koroma's recovery. The club will provide access to its medical facilities and top rehabilitation specialists.

This development is a considerable blow to both the club’s campaign in the Tercera Federación and the Sierra Leone national team, for whom Koroma was expected to feature prominently in upcoming international fixtures. Focus for the player now shifts entirely to his surgery and the subsequent long-term rehabilitation process.
