Shots Fired: Armed Intrusion Terrifies Family in Femi-Turner

A distressing home invasion occurred between Thursday, July 24th, and Friday, July 25th, at a residence in Femi-Turner, deeply unsettling the local community. According to one of the victims, her younger brother was watching television in the early morning hours when he heard the door open and their dog barking intensely.

Upon investigating the noise, he encountered an intruder and, after noticing a second figure, quickly retreated to alert his family.

The family reported that five armed individuals, equipped with guns, cutlasses, iron rods, sticks, and knives, attempted to break into their home. One of the intruders fired a shot at the boy, who narrowly avoided being hit.

Unable to breach the door, the group began throwing stones at the house and shouting threats. One assailant attempted to stab the boy through the door with an iron rod, narrowly missing him.

This ordeal persisted until 4:00 AM, with the perpetrators surveying the compound. Notably, they left the car and air conditioner untouched, leading the family to suspect their primary intent was to cause harm.

The victim's urgent call to the Lumley police was redirected to the Adonkia station. Despite providing detailed information, the police did not respond, highlighting a lack of reliability noted by the victim.

The following day, the police explained there was a miscommunication regarding the address, mistakenly believing it to be an "exploding tire" incident at Bango Farm.

Authorities have since committed to investigating the matter and increasing patrols to bolster security in the area.

The victim is urging for the story to gain widespread attention to ensure her family's safety and has shared visual evidence to support her claims.
