Sierra Leone’s national men’s football team, Leone Stars, secured a morale-boosting 1–0 victory over Liberia in an international friendly match played at the Southern Arena in Bo City.
After a competitive first half that ended goalless, both teams returned from the break with increased determination to find the breakthrough. Leone Stars gradually grew into the game, creating several promising chances while maintaining defensive discipline.
The decisive moment came in the 66th minute when Abdul Jarju Kabia scored the only goal of the match, sending the home supporters into celebration. His well-taken finish proved to be the difference in a closely contested encounter.
