Sierra Leone's U-17 Female Squad Departs for WAFU Regional Competition in Liberia

A 27-member delegation, comprising 20 talented players and 7 dedicated officials, has departed the shores of Sierra Leone for Liberia to compete in the prestigious WAFU Women’s U-17 Regional Competition, a tournament set to electrify the region from September 15th to 28th, 2025.
Leading this promising squad with distinction is Madam Haja Ramatulai Kamara, the esteemed Female Representative on the Executive Committee (EXCO) of the Sierra Leone Football Association (SLFA). Madam Kamara will serve as the Head of Delegation, providing invaluable leadership and guidance to the young athletes.
Supporting Madam Kamara is a committed team of technical and backroom staff, whose tireless efforts have prepared and will continue to guide these aspiring stars throughout the competition. The 20 players themselves represent the cream of the crop, carefully chosen after weeks of intensive training and rigorous trials.
They embody the most exciting and promising young talents in Sierra Leone’s burgeoning women’s football scene.
The squad is scheduled to officially report in Liberia today, September 15th, 2025. Travelling in high spirits, these young athletes are brimming with anticipation, ready to showcase their exceptional skills, unwavering determination, and profound national pride on the regional stage.
