The team began their campaign with a strong performance, defeating Mozambique by 77 runs, setting the stage for a commanding display against Eswatini. After Eswatini chose to bowl, Sierra Leone's opening batters, Emma Kamara and Captain Aminata Kamara, laid a solid foundation. Emma Kamara was particularly impressive, scoring 71 runs off 60 balls, with Marie Turay and Celina Bull making significant contributions to the team’s total of 190 runs for six wickets in 20 overs.

In reply, Eswatini struggled, achieving only 41 runs for eight wickets, resulting in a decisive 149-run victory for Sierra Leone. Emma Kamara was awarded Player of the Match for her outstanding batting performance. Sierra Leone is set to face host Botswana next on Wednesday at BCA Oval 1, aiming to maintain their remarkable form.
