Sierra Leone U-16 Basketball Team Celebrates Championship Victory

The Sierra Leone Basketball Association (SLBA) is celebrating a landmark achievement as the national U-16 basketball team proudly presented their Golden Championship Trophy to the Ministry of Sports.

This prestigious award was earned following the team's outstanding performance at the recently concluded U-16 Africa Championship Tournament in Conakry, Guinea.

Under the leadership of SLBA President Ali Hijazi, the young athletes demonstrated exceptional skill and determination, triumphing over seven other participating nations.

This hard-earned victory not only brought honor to Sierra Leone but also secured their qualification for the eagerly awaited Nations Cup Tournament, scheduled to take place in Rwanda in September 2025.
