Sierra Leonean Footballer Alie Conteh Signs with Norwegian Club Mjøndalen IF



Alie Conteh, a gifted Sierra Leonean footballer, has officially signed a contract with Norwegian second division side Mjøndalen IF Fotball, following a successful trial at the club.


Conteh, a former player for EastEnd Lions FC, FC Kallon, and Goderich United FC, will join Mjøndalen IF for the upcoming season, which commences in April.


The club has already secured the necessary work and residence permits for Conteh, facilitating his seamless integration into the team.


Mjøndalen IF is a multifaceted sports club with a robust presence in Mjøndalen, Norway. Its football department, Mjøndalen IF Fotball, constitutes the most prominent aspect of the club.


The club boasts an illustrious history, having secured the Norwegian Cup three times in 1933, 1934, and 1937.


Moreover, Mjøndalen IF achieved qualification for European competition in the 1960s and established itself as a formidable force in the top division of Norwegian football throughout the 1970s and 1980s.


Presently, Mjøndalen IF Fotball participates in the Obos-ligaen, the second tier of the Norwegian football league system.
