Journalist Melvin Tejan Mansaray, during an appearance on Epic Radio, asserted that Sierra Leone possesses a military intelligence advantage over Guinea. He characterized Guinea's military hardware as obsolete, while highlighting Sierra Leone's historical conflict experience as a source of strategic superiority.
Mansaray further suggested that with appropriate military investment and the acquisition of advanced technology, Sierra Leone could secure a sustained strategic advantage over its neighboring country.
"Regarding military intelligence, I am of the opinion that Sierra Leone is ahead of Guinea," Mansaray stated, pointing out that Sierra Leone's practical combat history from its war years contrasts with Guinea's lack of such direct conflict engagement.
The journalist concluded by stressing that modern military capabilities, when coupled with robust intelligence expertise, are essential for Sierra Leone to enhance its national defense and ensure greater border security.
