SLFA Delegation Offers Condolences to Late Coach Conteh's Family

On Thursday, May 21, a delegation from the Sierra Leone Football Association (SLFA) visited the family of the late Victoria Conteh, former Head Coach of the Sierra Queens, to offer formal condolences. The visit to the family residence at Kroo Town Road served as an occasion for the football community to honor the memory of a distinguished figure in the sport.


Representing SLFA President Babadi Kamara and the Executive Committee, Deputy General Secretary Ishamail Saidu Kanu expressed profound sympathy to the bereaved. Mr. Kanu commended Coach Conteh as a dedicated professional whose significant contributions to women's football in Sierra Leone have left an indelible mark on the national game.


The delegation offered prayers and shared reflections on Coach Conteh's legacy, noting her exemplary discipline and leadership which continue to inspire young athletes. In a gesture of institutional support, the SLFA presented a contribution to the family, underscoring the Association's commitment to its members during times of bereavement.


A formal laying-out ceremony will be conducted at the SLFA Secretariat tomorrow from 8:30 AM to 9:30 AM, providing an opportunity for stakeholders and the public to pay their final respects.
