SLFA Equips Match Officials Ahead of 2025/26 League Season

The Sierra Leone Football Association (SLFA) on Thursday, November 6, 2025, successfully concluded a comprehensive training for Match Commissioners and General Coordinators ahead of the 2025/26 Male and Female Premier Leagues.


The training, which brought together over a hundred football officials from across the country, was designed to equip those responsible for match coordination with the knowledge and tools needed to deliver professional, transparent, and well-managed competitions.


Leading the sessions was SLFA Vice President II, Prince Saquee, a CAF and FIFA Certified Match Commissioner, supported by the Head of Competitions, Sorie Ibrahim Sesay, a Certified Match Coordinator. Together, they guided participants through both theoretical and practical sessions focused on matchday organization, discipline, and compliance with CAF and FIFA standards.


Executive Committee Members Abdul Osman Turay and Mohamed Sorie Jalloh, who attended the final day’s practical session, commended the initiative and lauded President Kamara’s leadership for prioritizing capacity development within football administration.


The SLFA leadership emphasized that such training goes beyond knowledge sharing, highlighting its role in building a culture of professionalism and accountability key ingredients in the Association’s ongoing effort to make the Sierra Leone Premier Leagues (Men’s and Women’s) among the most credible competitions in the subregion.


With the successful completion of the training, the SLFA now has a strengthened pool of qualified Match Commissioners and Coordinators ready to uphold high standards in the upcoming season ensuring every match reflects the Association’s renewed commitment to excellence and integrity.
