SLFA President Kamara Joins FIFA Commercial Committee Meeting
Sierra Leone Football Association (SLFA) President Babadi Kamara recently participated in a virtual meeting of FIFA’s Commercial and Marketing Committee, marking a continued effort to align national football administration with global best practices.
Kamara was appointed to the prestigious FIFA committee in October 2025, just two months after assuming the presidency of the SLFA. The committee serves a vital advisory role to FIFA, focusing on commercial partnerships, event operations, and key strategies designed to enhance revenue generation for member associations worldwide.
During the session, committee members deliberated on practical approaches for national football associations to strengthen their financial sustainability and implement robust commercial models aimed at driving overall football development.
Highlighting local initiatives, President Kamara shared details on ongoing SLFA projects intended to diversify and increase the association’s revenue streams.
Additionally, he emphasized the significant impact of integrating the FIFA Connect platform, noting its contribution to modernizing player registration processes and streamlining the automated generation of match fixtures.
