SLFA President Visits Leone Stars Camp Ahead of Liberia Friendlies

The President of the Sierra Leone Football Association (SLFA), Babadi Kamara, on Tuesday visited the Leone Stars training camp at the SLFA Football Academy as the national team officially commenced preparations for its upcoming international friendly matches against Liberia.

The visit coincided with the team’s first training session, where players and members of the technical team began intensive preparations for the two friendly encounters against their West African neighbours.

Addressing the squad during the session, President Kamara welcomed the players to camp and encouraged them to approach the assignment with commitment, discipline, and professionalism. He reminded the players of the privilege and responsibility that come with representing Sierra Leone on the international stage and urged them to give their best for the country.

The SLFA President further stressed the importance of unity, teamwork, and determination as the national team continues its preparations. He noted that the friendly matches will provide an important opportunity for the technical team to assess players, strengthen the squad, and build momentum ahead of future international competitions.

Kamara also expressed confidence in the team’s ability to perform well and encouraged the players to remain focused throughout the training period.

The upcoming friendlies against Liberia are expected to serve as valuable tests for Leone Stars as the team seeks to improve cohesion, sharpen tactical understanding, and enhance overall performance ahead of future competitive fixtures.

With training now underway at the SLFA Football Academy, the national team will continue its preparations in the coming days as it looks forward to the two highly anticipated encounters against Liberia.
