SLFA Secretariat Celebrates Babadi Kamara’s WAFU-A Leadership Election

The Secretariat Staff of the Sierra Leone Football Association (SLFA) on Wednesday, September 9, presented a commemorative photo frame to SLFA President Babadi Kamara in recognition of his election as First Vice President of the West African Football Union Zone A (WAFU-A).
Kamara secured the senior regional position at the WAFU-A Elective Congress held in Banjul, The Gambia, becoming the first SLFA President in Sierra Leone’s football history to serve in such a senior leadership role at the zonal level.
Presenting the gift on behalf of the Secretariat Staff, Deputy General Secretary Ishmail Saidu Kanu Esq. congratulated Kamara on the achievement and described his election as a significant milestone for Sierra Leone football. He also commended the SLFA President for his leadership and representation of the country at the regional level.
In response, Kamara thanked the Secretariat Staff for the gesture and expressed appreciation for their continued hard work and commitment to developing football in Sierra Leone.
He urged staff to maintain teamwork, unity and dedication, stressing that collective effort remains essential to achieving the SLFA’s objectives and advancing the game at both national and international levels.
The presentation provided an opportunity for the SLFA Secretariat to celebrate Kamara’s historic achievement, which marks a new chapter in his football leadership journey while strengthening Sierra Leone’s representation on the West African football stage.
