The Sierra Leone Football Association (SLFA) has unveiled its 2026/27 domestic football calendar, marking a pivotal shift toward administrative stability under President Babadi Kamara.
Announced following the Association’s first Ordinary Congress in Bo City on June 27, 2026, the schedule addresses longstanding stakeholder frustrations regarding fixture delays and inconsistency.
By establishing a fixed timeline, the SLFA aims to foster an environment of planning, transparency, and increased commercial investment.
The structured roadmap begins with the Men’s Division One Playoffs (July 8–19) and Women’s Division One Playoffs (July 12–18). Club licensing runs from August 1 to September 1, with player registration open through October 21.
The domestic season launches with the Unity Cups on October 3–4, followed by the Men’s and Women’s Premier Leagues on October 10.
National Division One and Two competitions commence on October 24 and 25, respectively.
This initiative signifies a commitment to modernizing Sierra Leonean football, ensuring the sport is governed by foresight rather than postponement.
