Three men have been remanded in custody following their appearance in court on charges of conspiracy and murder in connection with the alleged killing of Yusifu Bangura at Juba Hill.
Foday Konneh, a farmer; Abdulai Kamara, also known as Rasta’r; and Ishmael Feika, a contractor, appeared before Magistrate John Manso Fornah at Pademba Road Court No. 2 on Wednesday, October 15, 2025. They face a three-count charge of conspiracy to commit murder and murder, contrary to Section 4 and Section 1 of the Offences Against the Person Act of 1861, as amended and replaced by Section 1(a) of the Abolition of Death Penalty Act 2021 (Act No. 6 of 2022).
Police reports allege that on Wednesday, September 24, 2025, at Youth Farm, Loko Feika, Juba Hill, Freetown, the accused—Feika, Konneh, and Kamara—conspired with other unidentified persons to commit a felony, namely murder. It is further alleged that Abdulai Kamara, alias Rasta’r, and Foday Konneh murdered Yusifu Bangura at the same location and on the same date.
The accused did not enter a plea as they are currently undergoing a preliminary investigation. The prosecution confirmed that all necessary documents have been served to the defense, a fact acknowledged by their counsel.
Magistrate Fornah ordered that all three accused persons be remanded at the Male Correctional Centre. Witnesses are expected to testify on the adjourned date. The case has been adjourned to October 17, 2025, for further hearing.
