The Sierra Leone Football Association has announced that three of its match officials have been selected to officiate at the upcoming WAFU U-20 Women’s Tournament scheduled to take place in Guinea-Bissau.
According to the Association, FIFA-badged referee Aminata Fullah will serve as a center referee at the tournament, supported by assistant referee Agnes Gbla. They will be joined by Alhaji Sanusie Rashid, who has been appointed as a referees assessor.
The three officials are currently in Bissau, where they have successfully completed the mandatory pre-tournament referees course. The training focused on key areas such as updates to the Laws of the Game, match analysis, video review sessions, match preparation, and practical on-field exercises.
Following the completion of the course, the officials have now been officially assigned roles for the competition, marking another significant milestone for Sierra Leone’s growing presence in international football officiating.
The tournament is set to run from May 1 to May 20, 2026, bringing together top U-20 women’s teams from across the West African region.
The SLFA has congratulated the officials on their appointments and wished them success as they represent Sierra Leone on the regional stage.
