U-17 Women’s Team Begins Preparations for World Cup Qualifiers

Head Coach Fatmata Turay has announced a 30-player squad ahead of Sierra Leone’s preparations for the upcoming FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup qualifiers against Ivory Coast in April.
The selected players are expected to report to camp at the Sierra Leone Football Association Academy on Monday, 23 March 2026, with the first training session scheduled for 7:00 a.m. The camp marks the official start of preparations for the crucial two-legged encounter.
Speaking ahead of the camp, Coach Turay underscored the importance of discipline, teamwork, and commitment as the young squad prepares to represent the nation on the international stage.
The training program will focus on tactical development, physical fitness, and team cohesion, aimed at ensuring the players are fully equipped to face the challenge posed by their West African opponents.
