Edmond Alim B. Fornah, the Executive Director of the Kids Advocacy Network, has issued a formal call to prioritize women within Sierra Leone’s national development framework. He asserts that gender inclusion is a fundamental prerequisite for achieving sustainable socio-economic progress.

During a recent address on AYV, Fornah underscored that the trajectory of a nation’s advancement is inextricably linked to the active empowerment and integration of women. "The advancement of any sovereign state necessitates the strategic placement of women at the core of its development agenda," he stated.

Mr. Fornah further advocated for a transition from theoretical discourse to the implementation of practical, sustained initiatives. He proposed the establishment of a unified movement designed to foster stakeholder collaboration and institutionalize women’s participation in the national developmental process.

"Our objective exceeds mere discussion; we are seeking to catalyze a concerted movement dedicated to synergizing efforts that prioritize and elevate women’s empowerment across Sierra Leone," Fornah noted.

In conclusion, Fornah reaffirmed that the empowerment of women is essential for cultivating resilient communities and realizing long-term strategic national objectives.
