Goalkeeper Zainab Kamara brought her 2025/2026 Marampa Mines Women’s Premier League campaign to an impressive conclusion after securing another Woman of the Match award in Vem Buck Female FC’s goalless draw against Patrick Umu FC.
Kamara, who joined Vem Buck on loan from East End Lioness FC, delivered a commanding performance between the posts, producing crucial saves and showing excellent control inside her penalty area to help her side close the season on a positive note.
The award marked her second Woman of the Match recognition of the season, underlining her consistency and growing reputation as one of the league’s standout goalkeepers.
Her first accolade came earlier in the campaign during Vem Buck’s clash with FC Kallon Female, where she impressed despite her side suffering a narrow 1-0 defeat.
Throughout the season, Kamara displayed calmness under pressure, sharp reflexes, and strong leadership from the back, qualities that made her a key figure for Vem Buck during her loan spell.
Her performances have further highlighted her ability to compete at the highest level of women’s football in Sierra Leone, while also strengthening her status as one of the country’s promising young goalkeepers.
With two Woman of the Match awards and a series of standout displays, Kamara now ends the season with growing recognition, as both Vem Buck and East End Lioness celebrate her successful campaign.
