ACC Launches Online Asset Declaration Portal for Public Officers

The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) has directed all public officers to declare their assets through a newly launched online portal, setting 20 July 2026 as the deadline for compliance.

In a public notice issued on 20 April 2026, the Commission announced the introduction of a user-friendly Asset Declaration Portal developed in collaboration with the Directorate of Science, Technology and Innovation (DSTI). The initiative is aimed at improving efficiency, accessibility, and compliance in the asset declaration process.

The ACC reminded public officers that asset declaration remains a legal obligation under Section 119(1) of the Anti-Corruption Act 2008, which requires officials to declare their income, assets, and liabilities within a specified timeframe.

According to the Commission, the usual declaration window of 1 January to 31 March has been adjusted to accommodate the rollout of the new system. For 2026, the declaration period will run from 20 April to 20 July.

Public officers required to comply include individuals in elective positions, presidential appointees, and civil servants in Grade 7 and above, as well as those below Grade 7 who hold fiduciary responsibilities.

The Commission further clarified that school administrators including principals, vice principals, head teachers, deputy head teachers, and bursars in government and government-assisted schools are also required to declare their assets.

Newly appointed or elected officials, including Paramount Chiefs and Court Chairmen, along with outgoing public officers, are expected to comply within the stipulated period.

The ACC warned that failure to submit asset declarations, or the submission of false or misleading information, constitutes an offence under Section 122A(1) of the Act and may attract administrative sanctions and other penalties.

All declarations are to be submitted through the Commission’s official online platform.
