Alusine Koroma Pens Deal with Athletic Club Torrellano

Sierra Leonean international Alusine Koroma has officially joined Athletic Club Torrellano, a key reinforcement for the Valencian side competing in Spain’s Tercera RFEF (Tercera Federación).

The 25-year-old midfielder, who recently departed Orihuela CF, had been a free agent before completing the move. His signing is being described as a statement acquisition, aimed at strengthening Torrellano’s midfield as they approach the crucial stages of the 2025/26 season.

Koroma brings experience and tactical discipline to the Campo Municipal Isabel Fernández. Known for his technical skill, stamina, and work rate, the midfielder has spent the last four years progressing through the Spanish football system.

His career in Spain includes stints with:

Real Balompédica Linense – Breaking into the first team.

UD San Pedro – Successful loan spell that accelerated his development.

Vélez CF & Orihuela CF – Competing at both Segunda and Tercera Federación levels.

Koroma is also a seasoned Leone Stars international, with over 15 caps for Sierra Leone. He has featured in Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) and World Cup qualification matches, bringing leadership and big-game composure to his club side a valuable asset in the competitive Tercera RFEF.

Impact for Athletic Club Torrellano

The signing reportedly beat competition from clubs including UD Torre del Mar. Analysts have praised Koroma’s ability to adapt quickly to the Spanish game.

“Alusine is a player who understands the Spanish game perfectly. His ability to transition the ball and his familiarity with the local style makes him an immediate asset,” local analysts said following the announcement.
