The Political Parties Regulation Commission (PPRC) has fined the All Peoples Congress (APC) Party One Hundred and Twenty Thousand Leones (NLe120,000) for breaching Section 39(1)(d) of the Political Parties Act (No. 25) of 2022.
The penalty stems from remarks made by Hon. Lahai Marah, APC Falaba District Chairman, during a civic engagement hosted by the Tripartite Steering Committee Secretariat at the District Council Hall in Falaba Town on Saturday, 15 November 2025.
According to the Commission, the decision follows a previous warning issued to the APC in a letter dated 11 November 2025, cautioning the party against further violations of the Act.
Despite this notice, the PPRC stated that Hon. Marah went on to make comments deemed incendiary and capable of heightening political tensions.
The APC has been given fourteen days to pay the fine.
While no additional details were provided, the Commission reaffirmed that it will continue to monitor compliance with the Political Parties Act to ensure responsible conduct among political actors.
