APC Settles NLe 350,000 PPRC Fine

The All People’s Congress (APC) Party has paid a fine of NLe 350,000 imposed by the Political Parties Regulation Commission (PPRC), bringing to a close a recent matter involving alleged violations of the Political Parties Act.

The Commission confirmed receipt of the payment on Wednesday, February 11, 2026, from the party’s leadership. The fine was levied on February 2, 2026, following contraventions of Section 39(1)(c) and (d) of the Political Parties Act (No. 25) of 2022 by the APC’s National Secretary General, Lansana Dumbuya Esq., and party member Zainab Sheriff.

In a statement, the PPRC thanked the APC for complying with its directive and urged the party to ensure that its members, supporters, and operatives adhere strictly to the provisions of the Act.

The payment settles the matter and prevents the imposition of further sanctions, which could have included suspension or other regulatory measures under the Political Parties Act.
