CID Summons DJ Boxx Regarding Omega Sesay's Death

The Criminal Investigation Department (CID) has summoned Abubakarr "DJ Boxx" Conteh, the APC Organizing Secretary, for questioning in Freetown following the discovery of the remains of Abdulrahman "Omega" Sesay and Mary Sia Bangura. 

Sources indicate Conteh was invited to assist with inquiries regarding his presence at a social gathering attended by the deceased prior to their deaths.

Omega Sesay, an aspiring APC District Council Chairman, and Bangura were found in a room in Lungi shortly after a football match. While initial reports circulated on social media suggesting the deaths resulted from drug or alcohol consumption, the Sesay family has issued a formal statement categorically refuting these claims as false and misleading.

Citing a post-mortem examination conducted in Freetown, the family revealed that the findings point toward foul play rather than natural causes. 

The examination reportedly uncovered evidence of food poisoning and confirmed that Sesay suffered a broken neck, leading to strangulation. The family has urged the public and media practitioners to refrain from spreading unverified rumors during this period of grief.

A respected political figure in the Port Loko District, Sesay previously served as the district’s Public Relations Officer for the APC. 

As the investigation continues to ascertain the full circumstances of the deaths, family sources have also expressed concern regarding the health of Mr. Conteh, noting he is currently unwell. 

Official police channels have yet to confirm any formal charges.
