Dr. Sylvia Olayinka Blyden, a prominent member of the All People’s Congress (APC), has formally clarified that she has not been engaged to provide advisory services to the party leadership regarding the current diplomatic mission of the International Moral Guarantors to Sierra Leone.
The delegation’s visit represents a pivotal effort to resolve the political impasse between the APC and the SLPP administration, specifically facilitating the implementation of the Agreement for National Unity (ANU).
In an official statement, Dr. Blyden confirmed that she currently holds no active advisory role in these proceedings. She noted that while she has not been requested to support the APC leadership during this specific mission, she remains open to providing her professional expertise should the party extend a formal request.
"My statement serves to ensure transparency and maintain a clear record for all stakeholders," Dr. Blyden remarked, reaffirming her commitment to the party’s objectives and the broader goal of democratic stability through official channels.
The International Moral Guarantors are continuing their engagement with key political figures in Sierra Leone to foster constructive dialogue and advance essential electoral reforms, whilst primarily aiming to bring an end to the current boycott of government participation by opposition, APC.
