East End Lions Defeat Leone Stars in World Cup Qualifier Warm-Up

The Leone Stars, Sierra Leone's national football team, played the first of two crucial technical test matches today, facing off against the reigning 2025 Leone Rock Premier League Champions, East End Lions, at the Approved School playing field.


This encounter is a vital part of the national team's intensive preparations for the upcoming 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers, where they are slated to face Guinea Bissau and Ethiopia early next month.




Despite a spirited performance from the Leone Stars, the league champions emerged victorious with a 2-0 win. Goals from Mohamed Yome Sesay and Alie Conteh were enough to secure the victory for East End Lions in this highly anticipated test match.
