Mohamed Kallon, the head coach of the Sierra Leone national team and owner of FC Kallon, has been suspended following a disciplinary ruling that cited unsportsmanlike conduct during a Premier League fixture against Bhantal FC.
The disciplinary committee found Coach Kallon culpable of misconduct directed at match officials, determining the behaviour was inconsistent with the exemplary character and sportsmanship expected of a senior coach. This ruling represents the first official disciplinary action in which Kallon has been cited for unsportsmanlike conduct.
The sanctions imposed include a multi-match suspension, to be served concurrently, alongside financial penalties levied against both Kallon and FC Kallon. The ruling further noted that the incident affected not only the match officials but also other coaches and club officials present.
