Football Icon Musu Bangura Submits Nomination

Musu Bangura, a leading figure in Sierra Leonean women's football, has officially submitted her nomination for the position of Female Representative at the upcoming SLFA Elective Congress. Renowned as one of the most celebrated female footballers in the country's history, Musu also holds the record as the longest-serving captain of the national women's team during her playing career.
Following her illustrious playing career, Musu has continued to play a pivotal role in the development of football. She has occupied several leadership positions, including Team Manager and Female Football Technical Head at the Sierra Leone Football Association (SLFA), where she significantly influenced the technical direction and growth of women's football.
Currently, she is the President of the Female Veterans Football Association and the Chairlady of Ascentonians, the club she formerly represented as a player, which now competes in the Women's Premier League. Under her leadership, Acessitians has maintained a competitive edge and has become a key platform for nurturing emerging female talent.
Her nomination has received widespread praise as a progressive step for women's football, bringing valuable experience, unwavering dedication, and institutional knowledge.
