Four OSD Officers Killed in Presidential Escort Accident

Four officers from the Operational Support Division (OSD) tragically died in a vehicular accident while accompanying the presidential convoy from Freetown to Moyamba on Friday, 16 January 2026. The Director of the OSD is reported to have survived the incident without sustaining injuries.
The deceased officers have been identified through sources as Spanner of the 22 Squad, Foday Koroma and Mustapha Kamara of the 15 Squad, and Sergeant Alie of the 12 Squad. The remains of the officers have been transferred to the mortuary for a post-mortem examination.
