Prominent gender activist Naasu Fofanah has formally declared her intention to seek the nomination for the running mate position within the All People’s Congress (APC) in preparation for the 2028 general elections.
Speaking on Liberty Online TV, Fofanah confirmed her plan to officially contest the role once the party concludes the selection process for its flagbearer. She expressed strong confidence in her ability to serve effectively, asserting that she believes she can contribute significantly to the APC and to national development in Sierra Leone.
Fofanah emphasized her belief in the crucial need for diverse representation and active participation in party leadership, noting that her candidacy reflects a commitment to enhancing the political process and national development. Furthermore, she conveyed optimism regarding the APC's electoral prospects in 2028, stating that the party is well-positioned for victory.
