Health Minister Unveils New Healthcare Reforms

Sierra Leone's Health Minister, Dr. Austin Demby, has unveiled a series of reforms aimed at strengthening the national healthcare system, improving access to quality medical services, and building a more resilient health sector.

Speaking on 18 June 2026, Dr. Demby outlined the government's ongoing efforts to modernize healthcare delivery and enhance the quality of services available to citizens nationwide.

Addressing an audience of international partners, healthcare stakeholders, and members of the Sierra Leonean diaspora, the Minister emphasized the importance of establishing a sustainable and equitable health system.
