Information Minister Engages Miatta Civic Center Advisory Council Co-Chairs

The Minister of Information and Civic Education, Chernor Bah, today held a working session with the co-chairs of the Miatta Civic Center Advisory Council, Kate Krontiris and Mariama Jeigula Anthony-Williams.
The session marks the beginning of detailed planning for the Advisory Council, which will guide the Ministry’s efforts to transform the Miatta Civic Center into a dynamic hub for civic education, community dialogue, and public engagement.
Minister Bah noted that since the Council’s announcement, citizens from across the country have been reaching out, sharing ideas, expressing interest, and offering to volunteer. He said this response demonstrates the public’s enthusiasm to get involved and contribute to the work ahead.
During the session, the co-chairs and the Ministry’s team discussed the Council’s operational framework, immediate priorities, and ways to sustain citizen participation.
Minister Bah expressed confidence that with continued collaboration among the Council, the Ministry, and the public, the initiative will move forward successfully.
