Italian Businessman Alleges Dausy Jalloh Ignored Refund Request Over US$210,000

Italian Businessman Alleges Dausy Jalloh Ignored Refund Request Over US$210,000

An Italian businessman, Alfio Siracusa, has alleged that Dausy Jalloh, who is reportedly wanted by police, failed to respond to his request for a refund after he says he lost US$210,000 in a disputed gold investment linked to Admire Bio.

Speaking on Epic Radio, Siracusa said he contacted Jalloh following the incident to request a refund but claimed he was told that Jalloh did not understand what he was referring to.

“I contacted Dausy Jalloh and requested that our money be returned, but he responded that he did not understand what I was talking about,” Siracusa said.

He said he is no longer interested in receiving gold and is instead seeking a refund, adding that he still has confidence in Sierra Leone’s investment environment.

“I am no longer interested in the gold. I simply want my money returned. My friend still believes in Sierra Leone and continues to encourage me to invest here. If my money is returned, I would like to remain in the country and continue doing legitimate business,” he added.

Siracusa alleged that he was encouraged to invest in Sierra Leone after receiving assurances about the country’s business climate.

He further claimed he agreed to purchase three kilograms of gold at US$70,000 per kilogram, paying a total of US$210,000 in two instalments US$100,000 and US$110,000.

He alleged that instead of genuine gold, he was given fake gold and misled regarding licensing arrangements tied to the transaction.

Siracusa also said he and his associate were introduced to Admire Bio and Dausy Jalloh through the manager of Lagoonda, who allegedly assured them there would be no issues due to his connections.

He further alleged that Admire Bio may have had prior knowledge of an incident, claiming she was aware he had visited the office and received an envelope shortly before it occurred.

“I suspect Admire Bio may have had knowledge of the incident because she knew I had visited the office and received the envelope,” he said.

He added that attackers appeared to target the envelope and belongings but did not physically harm him or his associate.

The allegations are based on Siracusa’s account and have not been independently verified. At the time of reporting, Admire Bio, Dausy Jalloh, and other named individuals had not responded to the claims.
