Sheikh Alhaji Mohamed “Omodu” Kamara, a prominent APC flagbearer aspirant widely known as Jagaban, has formally fulfilled a significant financial commitment through the J-IMPACT Initiatives. The launch marks the commencement of a Le 1.5 billion disbursement aimed at fostering socio-economic growth within the Kailahun District.

The official launch took place at the Methodist Secondary School Field in Luawa Chiefdom on Saturday, April 11, 2026, following a pledge initially established during a district visit on March 24, 2026. The fund is strategically partitioned to address key sectors: Le 1 billion is dedicated to supporting women in business, Le 300 million is allocated to the agricultural sector, and Le 200 million has been designated for academic scholarships.

This initiative is designed to empower local stakeholders, stimulate regional economic activity, and provide the necessary financial infrastructure to enhance livelihoods and educational continuity for students.

During the proceedings, Hon. Maya Moiwo Kaikai, APC Eastern Regional Chairman, highlighted the event as a testament to Jagaban's dedication to the region. He emphasized that such proactive leadership is essential for the party’s strategic objectives in forthcoming electoral cycles.

Mr. Ensah Jajua, APC Kailahun District Chairman, extended a formal welcome to Jagaban and his delegation, expressing gratitude on behalf of the district executive and supporting affiliate organizations.

In his keynote address, Jagaban expressed his appreciation for the reception and underscored the direct impact this initiative will have on women, farmers, and the youth. He characterized the younger generation as the cornerstone of Sierra Leone’s future, advocating for national unity and a collective effort toward long-term stability.

Reaffirming his vision for the 2028 elections, Jagaban noted that his engagement remains rooted in community partnership rather than purely political interests. He reiterated the APC's commitment to inclusivity, framing the party as a platform accessible to all Sierra Leoneans regardless of regional background.

Addressing the educational sector, he raised critical concerns regarding institutional conditions and the welfare of educators, specifically noting the challenges faced by teachers awaiting formal payroll inclusion. He pledged that addressing these systemic issues would be a primary focus of his developmental agenda.

The deployment of the Le 1.5 billion fund has been widely received by residents as a vital intervention, providing essential support for both the economic and educational landscapes of the Kailahun District.
