Sheikh Alhaji Mohamed “Omodu” Kamara, a prominent leadership figure within the All People’s Congress (APC), has initiated a comprehensive humanitarian campaign across Sierra Leone. This initiative involves the strategic distribution of essential commodities and financial aid to various communities and party units, coinciding with the religious observances of Ramadan and Lent.

On March 12, Mr. Kamara facilitated the delivery of 1,000 units of rice to the APC North West Region, benefitting the districts of Port Loko, Kambia, and Karene. During the handover, he emphasized that these contributions are intended to provide meaningful assistance to families during these significant periods of spiritual reflection and fasting.

The outreach continued on March 13 at the APC National Headquarters in Freetown, where 250 units of rice were allocated to various internal organs, including the Secretariat, Women’s and Young Congresses, and support staff. Mr. Kamara commended the party’s leadership for their commitment to organizational cohesion and underscored the vital role of solidarity in achieving long-term objectives.

Concurrently, 260 units of rice were designated for the APC Western Rural District to ensure equitable distribution across local wards and constituencies, further reinforcing the principles of unity and communal peace.

In addition to organizational support, Mr. Kamara extended financial aid to local institutions, including a NLe 40,000 contribution to Masjid Rahman for infrastructure development and a NLe 43,000 donation to Pasto School in Spur Loop to facilitate recovery efforts following a recent fire. These funds are being utilized for site restoration and the procurement of essential educational equipment.

He visited Pasto School in Spur Loop, recently damaged by fire, donating NLe 43,000 to aid recovery efforts. Part of the funds were given to local youths to assist with clearing the affected area, while the remainder was directed toward essential school items such as blackboards, benches, and desks.

Local officials and community representatives have acknowledged these interventions as vital contributions that address immediate needs and foster social stability.

These philanthropic activities underscore a broader commitment to corporate social responsibility and humanitarian leadership, providing critical support to citizens during high-priority religious and social windows.
