Koroma Reunites with JFK Following Release from Freetown Detention

Former President Ernest Bai Koroma has visited lawyer Joseph Fitzgerald Kamara, popularly known as JFK, at his residence in Makeni following his recent release from detention in Freetown.

Kamara announced the visit in a public post, describing it as a gesture of friendship and loyalty.

“I was deeply honoured to receive a surprise visit at my Makeni residence from my brother, former President Dr. Ernest Bai Koroma, who came bearing thoughtful gifts and a heart full of brotherly love,” Kamara wrote.

He said the visit reminded him of the value of genuine friendship and brotherhood beyond politics and public service.

“I am sincerely grateful for his thoughtfulness and the enduring bond we share,” he added, expressing prayers for continued blessings and strength in their brotherhood.

Koroma’s visit follows Kamara’s release from the Male Correctional Centre on Pademba Road in Freetown, where he had been detained in connection with contempt of court proceedings involving Chief Justice Komba Kamanda.
