Kwame Quee’s Brace Seals Vital Victory for East End Lions Over Kamboi Eagles

East End Lions FC secured a hard-fought 2–1 victory over Kamboi Eagles in an intense Week 16 encounter of the Leone Rock Premier League, with Kwame Quee’s clinical brace proving the difference.


The match began on a heated note, with disciplinary actions shaping the early exchanges. Kamboi Eagles’ Earnest Nathan Jr (#5) received the first yellow card in the 15th minute, followed by a booking for Osman Sesay (#3) in the 23rd minute. Mohamed Lamin Turay (#4) also entered the referee’s book in the 43rd minute as tensions rose in the closing stages of the first half.


East End Lions capitalized moments later, breaking the deadlock in the 44th minute when Kwame Quee (#14) calmly converted from the penalty spot to give the hosts a 1–0 lead. However, Kamboi Eagles responded deep into first-half stoppage time. In the 45+5th minute, Idrissa M. Kallon (#77) finished off a well-worked move assisted by Joseph Cole (#11) to restore parity at 1–1 before the break.


The second half resumed with immediate impact from the home side. Just two minutes after restart (47’), Kwame Quee completed his brace with a composed finish, this time assisted by Sam Diallo (#10), to put East End Lions back in front at 2–1.


East End Lions’ Sulaiman S. Kargbo (#9) was cautioned in the 49th minute as both sides battled intensely for control. The contest took another dramatic turn in stoppage time when Kamboi Eagles captain Sheku Samba (#14) was shown a red card in the 90+5th minute, reducing the visitors to ten men and effectively ending their hopes of a late comeback.


Kwame Quee’s decisive performance ensured East End Lions claimed all three points in a fiercely contested clash, strengthening their position in the ongoing league campaign.
