Sierra Leone international left-back Alex Bangura has joined Middlesbrough from Dutch side SC Cambuur on a four-year contract.
The 24-year-old is a versatile player who can also play at left wing-back. He is known for his pace, dribbling skills, and crossing ability. He has made over 100 appearances for Cambuur in the Dutch Eredivisie.
Middlesbrough manager Michael Carrick is looking to strengthen his squad with key performers. He has already signed Lewis O'Brien from Nottingham Forest and is also interested in signing a new striker.
The addition of Bangura is a good coup for Middlesbrough. He is a talented player who has the potential to be a key member of the team. He will be hoping to help Middlesbrough challenge for promotion to the Premier League this season.
"This is a great signing for Middlesbrough," said Carrick. "Bangura is a talented player who has the potential to be a star in the Championship."
