The Sierra Leone national football team, popularly known as Leone Stars, are set to take part in the FIFA Series 2026 scheduled for March in Azerbaijan.
The international friendlies will offer the team a critical opportunity to assess their strength against quality opposition as they continue preparations for upcoming competitions.
Sierra Leone will kick off their campaign against the Oman national football team on 27 March 2026 at 15:00 at the Dalga Arena in Baku. The fixture is expected to be a competitive encounter, with both teams eager to make a strong start in the series.
Depending on the outcome of that match, the Leone Stars will face either the host nation, Azerbaijan, or Saint Lucia on 30 March 2026. A victory over Oman would see Sierra Leone play the winner of Azerbaijan versus Saint Lucia, while a defeat would place them against the losing side of that encounter.

The upcoming series is part of Sierra Leone’s broader strategy to strengthen the team’s international experience and readiness ahead of future continental and global tournaments.
