MBSSE Releases Approved School Uniform Price List

The Ministry of Basic and Senior Secondary Education (MBSSE), led by Minister Conrad Sackey, has announced the official 2026/2027 academic year price list for school uniforms and related accessories for Junior Secondary School (JSS) and Senior Secondary School (SSS) pupils.

The newly released prices are intended to guide parents and guardians as they prepare for the upcoming school year, as part of ongoing efforts by the Ministry to standardise education-related expenses across the country.

According to the approved schedule, JSS and SSS boys’ pocket badges are fixed at Le20, while neckties—which remain optional—are priced at Le50. A tailored JSS uniform set (consisting of two complete sets with badges) is priced at Le450, whereas the corresponding SSS boys' set is Le500.

For Muslim female pupils in both JSS and SSS, hijabs are listed at Le75, with pocket badges at Le20. Two complete sets of tailored uniforms with badges are priced at Le450.

For Christian JSS female pupils, required accessories include a beret with a crest for Le90, a belt for Le90, and a pocket badge for Le20. Their two-set tailored uniform with badges is set at Le450.

Christian SSS female pupils will pay Le210 for a felt hat and band, Le90 for a belt, and Le20 for a pocket badge. Their two-set tailored uniform is also priced at Le450.

The updated price list reflects slight adjustments compared to the previous academic year. Notably, the price for a JSS tailored uniform set rose from Le430 in 2025/2026 to Le450 for 2026/2027, while the SSS boys' uniform price remained unchanged at Le500.
