NASSIT Warns Against Encroachment and Unauthorized Dealings on Its Properties

The National Social Security and Insurance Trust (NASSIT) has warned individuals involved in the encroachment, unauthorized occupation or other dealings involving its properties across Sierra Leone to stop immediately or face lawful action.
In a public notice, NASSIT said it had received reports of encroachment, unauthorized occupation and other dealings involving properties belonging to the Trust.
The Trust said its properties are held for the benefit of its beneficiaries and warned that it will take all appropriate legal action to recover its properties and protect its assets.
NASSIT stressed that no person may occupy, build on, sell or lease its properties without written authorization from the Trust.
It also cautioned members of the public against buying, leasing or accepting allocations of NASSIT land from unauthorized persons.
The Trust urged all individuals engaged in unauthorized activities on its properties to stop immediately as it takes steps to protect its assets for the benefit of its beneficiaries.
