New Digital Platform Set to Cut Business Registration to Minutes

A state-of-the-art digital one-stop business service platform is being finalized to dramatically streamline corporate setup, cutting business registration times from 24 hours to just a few minutes. Chief Minister Dr. David Moinina Sengeh confirmed following a recent progress review that the system is slated for completion and launch by November 2026.
The primary purpose of the new digital portal is to modernize public service delivery, automate administrative workflows, and boost economic growth. By consolidating critical investment and regulatory operations into a single window, the National Investment Board (NIB) aims to make business registration nearly instantaneous while helping stakeholders develop bankable projects and secure foreign direct investment.
The initiative builds upon foundational efforts that trace back to November 2022, when key government agencies entered an agreement to digitize administrative processes across the board. Dr. Sengeh, who previously served as Chief Innovation Officer, has been a key figure driving this long-term digital transformation alongside leaders from trade, technology, and investment sectors.
Under the integrated system, operations are unified across multiple entities, including the Corporate Affairs Commission, the Public Private Partnership Unit, investment and export promotion agencies, and the Administrator General's Office. Beyond core registration, the Board supports major strategic developments, including the Millennium Challenge Corporation program, the Nant project, and the landmark Lungi Bridge project.
Existing web-based services—such as name availability searches, digital document submissions, real-time application tracking, and electronic certificate issuing—will be expanded and fully integrated. Backed by major international partners including the European Union, the United Kingdom, the United States, China, and ECOWAS, the upcoming platform represents a major step forward in modernizing institutional infrastructure.
